Clearspace: Anatomy of a Product Launch

Posted by Dawn Foster on Jul 24, 2007 1:35:00 PM

Bill Lynch, Aaron Johnson, and AJ Wright spent an evening at PJUG (Portland Java Users Group) talking about everything that went into the launch of Jive Software's Clearspace product. You might also want to follow along with the presentation.

Caution: I try to keep most of the videos edited down to 5-10 minutes, but this is the full 35 minute presentation.

Or download the Quicktime version

Thumbs down on the choice of video widget. It is choppy and it turns off if another window covers it. The talk seems pretty good so far.

After 5 minutes or so it had downloaded completely and it settled down to just choppy. Firefox 2.

jtroyer,

This video is longer than most, which makes it much slower to download.  However, I do plan to evaluate some other video hosting services.  I need something with the ability to host long videos (YouTube, has a limit).  I'm open to suggestions from the community for good video hosting services.

A laptop reboot made it much better behaved, but it still subjectively seems a little choppier than some other video widgets I've seen. I have no suggestions on another provider, though.
