Hi Dawn,

Ahah! That's more like it! It's a good offer, and thanks for listening to the cry. You'd never know what you'll get from outside of your national boundry - as if I had a good CS plugin, but I'm sure that at least the t-shirt will look good on me ;-).

CS off topic:

Actually, I do have an interesting plugin but it's for Openfire. I wonder why there isn't any such motivations for Openfire plugins. Otherwise, I would have been so motivated that I'd make the plugin public. Perhaps Openfire is a second class citizen to CS. Ironically, Matt shows up more oftenly in Openfire's forum than here, which makes me wonder if he's a second class citizen in Jive .

Hi Azidin,

Since Clearspace is a new product, we wanted to offer some incentives to get people started with plugins.  We still have the same focus on igniterealtime.org, and Matt is still one of the coolest people at Jive (definitely NOT a second class citizen!)

In the spirit of openness within the Ignite Realtime open source project, I would encourage you to contribute your Openfire plugin on igniterealtime.org

Hi Dawn,

I was just kidding. No offence :-). I like this community.. really.

IMHO, considering the time Openfire have been around, the number of plugins minus those developed by Jive isn't really impressive. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't remember seeing any incentive for Openfire plugins. Things might have been different if incentives were provided, and on regular basis.

I believe for many the spirit of openness is there indeed. I've seen lots of people in the forums that talks about contributing. It's not the incentive that really matters, but kind of "Hmm.. I could make my plugin a little bit better... no rush... I'll wait till tomorrow...". And it goes on and on...

Dawn, mark my words: I will contribute. No doubt... but this time around I'm thinking "Hmm.. I'd wait and try my luck should there be any freebies..."

...Just my 2 cents.
