Summary

The QuickShare plugin is a wrapper plugin for multiple extensions to JiveSBS that enable fast content contribution. More to come (hopefully).

QuickTemplatesWidget - A widget that works in conjunction with social-tags to allow customer-enabled template driven content creation. Add/Remove your desired user-defined "template" tag to add/remove templates from a given container. Single-click a template from the Widget to start a Document Draft in your current container (where the Widget is placed)! Configuration options exist to copy Tags, Categories, and Content from template Document.

Jive SBS 4.x and above

Plugin install through Admin Console.

Next Features

The following are a list of features I know I want to put into the plugin. If interested, please suggest features and demands, but please note that this is a less than 5% of my time effort, so probably wont have much to deliver above my "Next Features" for a while.

QuickTemplatesWidget
1. Copy Categories Feature to Work.
2. Explicitly deal with Embedded Images / Configuration to Copy/Strip from Template (right now, just avoid)
3. PersonalizedHomePage - Select Container at Runtime for Document Creation
  1. Temporary workaround, create in "Your Documents" then move!
4. DWR Population of Template Search Results to prevent unnecessary searches when Widget is "minimize
5. Cleaner UI, since I'm not a UI guy this is always last.
Fly-By-Tagging
1. Bring "Add-Tag" feature into plugin, re-map some of the concepts from this thread
2. Create "Remove-Tag" feature, need to determine if this should be restricted more than "Add-Tag"

Related Containers

Summary

Have you ever wished there was an easy way to relate spaces to groups and vice versa? The related containers plugin makes this possible!

Some customers have been doing this by adding HTML or Formatted Text Widgets to their group or space's overview page, but this limits you to a static view and can lead to an inconsistent user experience (different people accomplish the same task different ways). The Related Containers plugin seeks to avoid those inconsistencies and provides an easy way to link containers while adding a bit of dynamic information about the activity within those containers.

Where do I get the ID for my Group or Space?

The widgets take in a comma-delimited list of IDs in order to determine which related container(s) should be displayed. To obtain this ID, the simplest thing to do is to navigate to the space or group that you want to include and hover your mouse over the link to start a new discussion. When you hover over the link, the bottom of the browser should show you the ID. Look for "container=<number>" in the ouput. The value for <number> is what you will place in the widget.

In the example below, you'd use a value of 2003.

A simple widget that can filter the Tag Groups shown for a space using RegEx:

We use this to break up large numbers of Tag Groups into logical groups.

Delicious

The Delicious plugin gives your users the ability to have their Delicious bookmarks pushed into Jive SBS: simply add your Delicious username, click save and the system will automatically copy new bookmarks in Delicious to Jive SBS.

Use Cases

You have an account in Jive SBS and a Delicious account and you'd like to have your Delicious links mirrored into Jive SBS for other users to see.

Installation

Like all Jive SBS plugins, you can install Delicious through the Admin console. Open the admin console and navigate to System > Plugins, then click Add Plugin and browse for your plugin JAR file.

Usage

If you want to use it, click on 'Your Stuff' in the user bar and then click on 'Delicious'. Enter your Delicious username, optionally choose to limit the bookmarks that you want to show up in Jive SBS using the include and exclude tags and then click the 'update account ' button. After a maximum of 10 minutes (and assuming that you have bookmarks in Delicious), you should see bookmarks in your profile.

Limitations

Only retrieves the first 15 bookmarks from your Delicious account, will not synchronize all your bookmarks, just the recent ones.
Only polls every 10 minutes, if you post more than 15 bookmarks on Delicious in 10 minutes, Jive SBS may not be able to retreive all the bookmarks.

Google Forms Macro

Summary

The Google Forms macro allows all users to insert fully usable Google Forms in any content. Using simple embed codes given by Google Forms users can insert customized questionnaires, polls, feedback forms, etc. directly within Clearspace/SBS.

Group Membership Widget

Use this very simple widget to display the members of user groups on Community overview pages. The plugin is quite simple, and I have included the source in case you want to modify it show different user information, or extend it to add additional functionality.

After installing the plugin (which also works fine in 2.5.x) you'll now see the GroupMembershipWidget option when customizing the overview tab of a given community.

Then, simply enter your user groupID, and it will display all users in that group.

Google Maps Macro

Summary

The Google Maps macro allows all users to insert fully usable Google Maps in any content. Using simple embed codes given by Google Maps users can insert specific locations and views with full drag and navigation support directly within Clearspace.
