How do we configure so users' default preference for receiving email notifications is "OFF"? Our SSO doesn't require a valid email address, and we have a lot of undeliverable messages churning our email server.

Also, where would we find/change the text on the user-preferences template about where user can change their email address (see attached)? I'm not seeing the text on the actual user-preferences.ftl. Thanks!

Am I understanding correctly that there's no way for a normal person to upload images here? I can't just browse my computer and upload a photo?

We have the "invite a friend to the community" feature turned on, but I can't find it anywhere on our site. I see the option when a member creates an account, but I can't find it anywhere else. Can you tell me where else a member can access this feature?

How can I move a blog post to a discussion thread? The blog entry is contained within a social group. It really should be a discussin thread and I'd like to move it to the discussion within the same social group.

Growl-Like Notification Client for Mac

Amigo is a Facebook client for Mac. It uses Growl to notify users of events in their Facebook account; i.e friend requests, wall posts, status updates, etc. I like it because it doesn't clutter my inbox with emails, and it keeps me hopelessly tuned-in to Facebook (perhaps more than I should). I think Jive would benefit from a similar client to help drive user adoption.

How should I redirect out to my SSO login page?

According to our development team, the way to do this would be to theme the login.ftl and unauth.ftl and provide a redirect to your SSO site:

${response.sendRedirect("http://myssologin.com/login")}

Another option would be to override the struts-community.xml and make the changes to the global results for login, unauthenticated and unauthorized. In your SSO, you should redirect back to http://yourhost:port/<context_root>/login.jspa. This will ensure that if you try to access a link that requires you to login, you'll be taken back to the correct page upon return.

UAT: Get correct requestURL instead of localhost:120?

I setup my instance's login.ftl to redirect to my SSO form, as follows:

As you can see I'm pulling request.requestURL which is populated on a returnURL parameter. This worked fine on my local machine (which I have setup in my hosts as davidtest.jivesoftware.com in order to read the jivesoftware.com cookie), but when I dropped it into UAT, the requestURL appears as follows in bold:

https://<omitted>?e=ca&returnurl=http://localhost:120/login.jspa

The fully qualified domain name is http://<omitted>/index.jspa, so I was expecting that in there.

Blog Content is Missing - Can we Restore it?

Hi,

Currently, we are using jive Clearspace 1.10.6. Recently , One user complain that one of her posts from her blog have disappeared .The users says he did not delete them, and neither did anyone as per our Knowledge.

I searched all the tables related with blogs in the production database especially "JIVEBLOGPOST" table but didn't find any clue link with deleted post

Is there a way we can restore them to the site without loosing the other content that's there?

Can we do a restore of just these posts?

Trouble with relative include of blog-macros FTL file

Hello-

I am trying to customize the theme for the blog post view of a community - but I can't seem to include my relative blog-macros template.

Here are the files that I'm working with:

/template/global/community-blogposts.ftl

->this file contains a local include to include/community-head.ftl - (<#include 'include/community-head.ftl'/> ) this works fine

community-head.ftl contains the following includes:

<#include "/template/forums/include/forum-macros.ftl">
<#include "/template/docs/include/doc-macros.ftl">
<#include "/template/blogs/blog-macros.ftl" /> -- when I change the blogs-macro include to be relative, it does not pick up the file and I just get a blank browser screen. I've tried all sorts of variations on the relative path, but nothing seems to work.

Is there another way that I can make this include work?
