Hello All,

our company has bought the licensed jive software. our requirement is to customize wiki document.

I want to insert a link in my document editor in clearspace .it works fine. But when i try to bring this document editor inside iframe, it fails with javascript error.

How will i solve this. i heard it is not possible to inserta iframe inside a iframe. Can you help me in getting the solutions in the existing source of clearspace. How can i debug it?

Session not responding to requests

I've had a few instances where users have reported that the jive server isn't responding to their requests, the IE page just creates an egg-timer. Once they quit the browser session and then go back into the website (some minutes later) the page they requested appears straight away. Are there any Admin console reporting tools that i can run to see what's going on. On the ESX server there is an increase in CPU during their reported downtime, there's no significant IO on the disk, network traffic is nominal.

At the moment my Linux knowledge is quite limited, therefore any monitoring tools either in RedHat or commencial would be recommended.

Jive 3.0 Password issue

Hi,

I am using Jive SBS 3.0 windows evaluation version. I had to reinstall Jive 3.0 on my machine as i had lost the admin password. The resinstallation procedure asks me for entering a new password for Jive user. I am not able to proceed from this step as i don't remember the password given in the initial installation. I get the message 'Password does not match the existing application password'.

Is there a way to get around this? I have uninstalled the jive on my machine.

can someone help me in getting the solution , how to enable the rollback option in documents.

business requirement:

Rolling back inappropriate changes

On occasions, modifications to Wiki definitions may be deemed to be inappropriate or not supported by the available evidence. In this situation, an moderator may decide to roll back the changes to a previous version of the definition.

To enable rollback to occur, the moderator should be able to display all previous versions of the definition and then choose the definition to reinstate. The moderator should be able to reinstate a previous version and not have to retype or manually change the relevant definition.

authenticating against an AD Forest with multiple domains

Is there any documentation or guides on how to setup authentication against an Active Directory Forest that contains multiple domains. The LDAP config is setup to point at the forest root and clearspace authenticates users fine that are located in the forest root domain but we have a child domain where we would like to give users access to the application and i'm not sure how to setup the software to authtenticate against a 2nd ldap directory.

Cloud off of a Tag

I want to be able to display a tag cloud off of one tag. For example, instead of showing a tag cloud of all documents, or info in a community, it would be off of a tag.

This tag cloud would look for all blog posts with the tag 'xxxxx_xxxxx' and then create a tag cloud of all those posts that have that tag. Almost a tag group idea.

Possible?

How to get ftl parameters in action class?

Hi,

I have overridden one of the action class of jive and called that action from within the ftl file.

The code in ftl file to call action is below :

<@s.action name=

"recentDocs" executeResult="true">

<@s.param name=

"targetUser" value="${targetUser.ID?c}"/>

<@s.param name="status" value="GaganArora"/>

</@s.action>

I have added one more parameter called status above. I have created the corresponding setters and getters for status variable above in my overridden action file but still i am getting the value as null.

I have also tried this

request.getParameter("showView");

but this is also not working.

I am getting the value of targetUser but its setters and getters were in the superclass.

Is there something which i have to set to get this value in action class.

Dear Support,

We had massive problems with the attached picture.

The process which is generating the thumbnail pictures causes our whole application server to crash.

Can you please give me feedback how to solve this?
