Use Email to Respond to Discussion Threads?

How do I set up the ability for users to respond directly via email to Clearspace alerts from discussions/documents?

thanks,

Jason

Re: Use Email to Respond to Discussion Threads?

Hi Jason,

Clearspace will automatically post email replies to discussions if you have set up an incoming mail server (in the admin console under System > Settings > Email Server > Email Monitor)

To enable email monitoring for documents, it would be necessary to install the Advanced Email Plugin (Advanced Email Plugin), as this functionality doesn't exist out of the box.

Cheers,

Chase

When is this plugin going to cease being BETA?  Will the functionality be integrated into a coming release?  We are very interested in this functionality but have had some problems with our upgrade to 2.0 and are a bit gun shy about features that may not be ready for prime time.

The best way to get that information would be to post a question in the Clearspace Plugins and Add-ons community (or just comment directly on the plugin's doc.)  At current I'm not aware of any plans to incorporate this plugin into clearspace trunk.

Chase

To better serve our customers we have included functionality to automatically follow up on a case after it has been idle for more than 5 days, and then auto close after an additional 3 days of inactivity. Choose No to acknowledge that this case will remain idle for longer than 5 days.
Making cases public allows other customers to learn from the solution of the case. It can also be used to gain feedback from others in the community. Ask our Support Engineers for more info, but we encourage you to make your cases public.
