Would you please elaborate on what you mean by importing contacts from Gmail/LinkedIn? Do you mean something like providing the ability to invite everyone in your gmail contact list to join your Clearspace instance? Or something else? If you could elaborate on what you are trying to do here I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi Vivek,

If you are running Clearspace Community 2.5.x you can invite people to join a specific Community from your Gmail/LinkedIn contacts. In order to do this you just need to navigate to the Community and then click on "Invite Friends To Join" in the Action menu on the right hand side of the screen.

With Clearspace internal this functionality is disabled by default, however you can enable it with a simple system property:

invitations.system.enabled  =  true
