Hello,
Iâm currently using the GUI editor and have a question if anyone can help.
1) How do you create an anchor within a document and a hyperlink to that anchor within the same document?
Basically I have a document that is somewhat long and would like to break it down in sections that a user could hyper link or âjumpâ too. How would I set this up?
Switch editor in HTML mode by pressing "<>" button. Type anchor tag text, e.g.
<a name="aaa">somewhere in document.
Then switch editor in WYSIWYG mode by the same button, select any text fragment, press "o-o" button, and enter #aaa in URL field.
Hi,
I also want to create Anchors and Hyperlinks within a document. However, I do not understand what you mean by "" button. Anyone who could help me? Thanks
Marcus
Marcus,
fefelov posted '0-0' which he is using to denote the Anchor tag. Its in the top row of items in the Rich Text Editor.
Cheers,
Anthony
Hi,
Thanks for your help. unfortunately that was not the part of the explanation that I didn't understand. What I had difficulties with was:
"Switch editor in *HTML *mode by pressing+ "" button+."
I do not know how to switch to html mode. Instead I picked "plain mode" and wrote the anchor there. Then the html link to the tag works but only as long as I don't open up the document for editing. What happens then is that the anchors are removed from the plain text document and the links can nolonger be used.
So, how do I switch to html mode?
I'm experiencing the same behavior. Can anyone provide some actual instructions for adding hyperlinks in the same document? A simple thing usually, but Clearspace strips out the html, duh. ![]()
