tag cloud on top space issue

Hi

I've posted a box with the top 50 popular tags on the top space, however when I click on one of the tags instead of taking me to all content tagged with that word in the space it takes me to the browse tags page and I have to click on that tag again to get to the content I want.

This process is rather annoying to our users, is there any way to avoid this?

Thanks

Stefanie

Re: tag cloud on top space issue

What is the form of the URL that you are using?  When viewing all tags in the system, the view is slightly different.  It shows tags widget that list the tags that are currently in the system.  To the right of the text "Tags," the currently selected tags are shown.  Below the tags widget are the results for the currently selected tag set (if any).  Here's an example of a link to the "plugins" tag on this site:

The widget allows you to further refine the results by selecting additional tags.  Each additional tag that is selected will be added to the list and will result in your result list being narrowed down to the best set of results for the selected tags.

Re: tag cloud on top space issue

It appears that there is a bug in 2.5.2 and below that prevents the tag links from working when you use the large sized Popular Tags widget (defect ID CS-9115).  You can resolve this issue by upgrading to 2.5.3 or higher.
