Public Homepage

How do I make my homepage public? I currently have it set-up so that one of my communities is public. I would like for all users to be able to go to the same homepage and see the public communities and the login but not the private communities.

Re: Public Homepage

Hi, I think the setting you are after is jive.auth.disallowGuest.  If you change the value of this system property to true in the admin console (System > Management > System Properties), people will be able to browse the public communities anonymously.

Re: Public Homepage

What are the permissions on your root space?  Can you provide a screenshot?

Re: Public Homepage

If you block access on the main space, you'll need to log in.  In order for your spaces to be private, you'll need to disallow guest access by revoking View Space privileges for "Anyone" in your private spaces.

Re: Public Homepage

Were you able to rework the permissions to achieve what you are after?  Are there any additional questions that I can help answer?

Thanks,

Austen

To better serve our customers we have included functionality to automatically follow up on a case after it has been idle for more than 5 days, and then auto close after an additional 3 days of inactivity. Choose No to acknowledge that this case will remain idle for longer than 5 days.
Making cases public allows other customers to learn from the solution of the case. It can also be used to gain feedback from others in the community. Ask our Support Engineers for more info, but we encourage you to make your cases public.
