Attachment bug

I'm having a problem with attachments in 2.5.3. It's the same as the one described here:

      http://www.jivesoftware.com/jivespace/message/148207

It's acting just like the problem with the images in your Supportal documents  Introduction to the Supportal   Supportal Best Practices

The release notes for 2.5.4 reference an attachment problem fix CA-9661. Where can I see the details of CS-9661?

We upgraded from 10.1 to 2.5.3 two weeks ago and this problem popped up the day after our contract expired (Coincidence?).  I already talked to Sales and they said support for us will be extended while I get a PO send out.

Re: Attachment bug

This was fixed in 2.5.4. In 2.5.3, we were able to reproduce the issue by following these steps:

# Create a document with an attachment
# Save it as a draft
# Publish the document

Unfortunately, this only fixed the issue if you saved a draft WITH an attachment. Saving an draft without the attachment and adding the attachment afterwards can still reproduce the issue in 2.5.4:

# Create a document
# Save it as a draft
# Edit that document
# Add an attachment
# Save it as a draft
# Publish the document

This is current set to be fixed in 2.5.5

Thanks,

Vinh

Re: Attachment bug

Yes. Are you using document approvals as well? I believe this is also reproducible if you're using approvals -- I can track down the steps if this is the case.

Re: Attachment bug

Yes. The second version of the bug was identified just yesterday, but we are trying to roll a fix into that release. I will keep you updated as the release date gets closer.

Re: Attachment bug

Unfortunately, this was not fixed in 2.5.5 (or 2.5.6). The current fix version is set for 2.5.7.

It's currently set to be released in mid-February.

Re: Attachment bug

Vinh, can you comment on the status of this issue?  Following the reproduce steps outlined above, I still see that the attachment is missing on a 2.5.7 instance.

Re: Attachment bug

Hey guys,

The fix was pushed back into the 2.5.8 release. The code has been checked into the repository and reviewed. It is currently going under QA with the rest of the 2.5.8 build right now.

Thanks,

Vinh

Re: Attachment bug

Vinh,

Did this end up getting included with 2.5.8?
