As the system admin of the Clearspace, I would like to be able to login as system admin and create content as another user. Is that possible?
This is not possible. You can change a user's password through the Admin Console and log in as taht user to create content, though.
Since we will be using AD to authenticate, the system admins won't know
their Windows passwords to log in as someone else.
Can this be submitted as an enhancement request? Often the system
admins of communities are asked to submit content for others (e.g. busy
executives, untrained users) and it's better to have the post come from
the executives userid, not the system admin.
I've created a feature request in our tracker with JIRA ID CS-10519. It will be looked at for a future feature release, but I'm not sure about the liklihood of it being included, as the extra power given to the SAs could cause auditing issues.
Thanks,
Vinh
As the system admin, I can change the content of all the posts, so Clearspace already gives us considerable power.
Would like to create the post as well as edit existing ones. Thanks!
Angelique,
This isn't possible, I would suggest creating a designated System Admin account (use this for administrating) and using your regular account for posting.
