ClearSpace 2.5.5 installation hangs periodically

I have searched through the discussions but have not found anything that displays our issue.  While running Firefox 3.0.6 against a new instllation of ClearSpace 2.5.5 it will occasionally hang.  I have not noticed the issue yet while running IE 6.  Our setup is Linux 2.6.5-7.308-bigsmp, running against Oracle 10.2.0.4 (ojdbc14.jar thin client) with Java jdk 1.6.0_11 and Apache-Tomcat 6.0.18.  we are authenticating against AD using LDAP.  Once of the errors appears to be related to information missing in our AD server, but occurs enough that i am guessing it is not the culprit.  Here are some of the other errors we are seeing.

"ERROR impl.QueryCache - Error loading block, ObjectType: 14, ObjectId: 1
java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket"

"ERROR impl.QueryCache - Error retrieving count
java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket"

I have attached our full log file for review.  We are still working on our test pilot to determine how we are going to structure our corporate collaboration, but solving this prior to rollout is a must for us.

Re: ClearSpace 2.5.5 installation hangs periodically

Hi Henry,

When the application hangs, is it just for a specific URL? Does the whole app hang and require a restart?

If you would install FireBug for Firefox, and see what resource is hanging that would be the place to start.

You say this only happens with FF? We haven't seen that locally and we are running 2.5.5 in our community here.

Hi Henry,

If you need to restart your instance on these hangs, it would be great to see some thread dumps while this is happening. That will allow us to see what could be causing the hang.  We have some more information on thread dumps in this document here: Supportal Best Practices
