Moderation Notification Emails?

I've done some searching and can't really seem to find anything closely related to my question.  Also, this question may be in the documentation somewhere... if so please feel free to tell me to RTFM.

Anyway, where do I enable notification emails for moderators?  Approvers get notification emails when their are documents added to the queue but I can't seem to find where to turn this on for moderators.  Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Moderation Notification Emails?

Hi Matt,

It doesn't look like we currently have facilities for this in our current moderation workflow.  However, it should be fairly easy to add as a customization.  You can use the document-approval-workflow.xml as an example.  You'd just need to add a prefunction to the moderation-content-approval-workflow.xml with a task similar to NotifyDocumentApproversFunction in the document approval process.  Would you like me to add a feature request for this?

Thanks,

Austen

Re: Moderation Notification Emails?

Added as feature request CS-12806.  One thing you might have your moderators do is subscribe to email notifications for all of the spaces that they moderate.  It seems like this could effectively serve the same purpose (though not as convenient).

Thanks,

Austen

Re: Moderation Notification Emails?

I tried this but emails are not sent out until the item has been approved.

This does seem like a big oversite this will force moderators to look at the site al the time. Rather than build a notification for each individual notification it would seem to make more sense to build just a single notifier for all items that require action, ie approving.

Re: Moderation Notification Emails?

Yes I vote for this.  We rely on our Mods to mark things as abuse. I want to get an email so I know there is something for moderation. Since I will handle the decisions I'll be the only one to approve or reject a post. While on vacation I also want the other sys admin to receive the notification so he can act in my absence.  This would go hand in hand with my vacation calendar delegation request.
