Inserting Images

Depending upon where I am in clearspace, I can either upload an image to use or use only a url reference to an image.  Why can I not upload an image anywhere I choose, particularly as I am an admin?

Re: Inserting Images

Hey Scott,

In the cases of areas like the formatted text widget, you're not allowed to upload an image as there is nothing set up in the database to link ownership of the image to the author. These areas of Clearspace use the mini-RTE, which is a lesser version of the RTE that doesn't allow you to upload images to the database.

Re: Inserting Images

Hi

Actually I have found that inserting only the reference to the image via a URL us a real pain if you have SSL (https) set up. The problem is that you have a secure page and now you have introduced non secure  content onto th epage - browsers tend to compain about this every time you load the page unless you back off the security on the browser (not recommended).

So please bring the ability to insert images from files.

Thanks

Harry
