Polls not adding items properly in 3.0.4

Polls only let you add item #3. When you add another, it also lables it as #3.  When you save the poll, all item descriptions after number 3 are pushed into number 3.  When you go to edit it, the poll will create number 4.  But then the problem repeats itself again.  The only way to create a poll with more than 3 items is to save it and reedit it after each poll item.

 

Also when in the Poll edit mode, the button to save your changes is labeled "Edit".  Not intuitive.

 

I'm getting the feeling that the QA team might need to get their test scripts up to date since this and the project calendar problem have been part of the existing feature set for quite a while.

Wally,

 

I have been testing against 3.0.4 on Polls and Projects in my local install - haven't been able to reproduce the issues you are seeing (yet).  I am going to try installing the essentials plugin / clustered environment and see if I can pin it down.

I actually ran a quick test in your UAT in a private space

Project calendar with 6 rows:

Poll with 6 options:

Both viewed ok for me in firefox 3.5, what browser were you using / space were you in / other widgets were in play for the issues you were seeing?

The State of Oregon standard is IE 6 or 7.  Only the IT techs have Firefox 3.5 in the Enterprise.

I may not have answered your question.   I personally and using IE 7.

(I have FireFox for testing).

Just tried with IE7 and was OK.

So I was able to create polls OK in ie6 / ie7, can you test in the test space and let me know what poll / space was causing you issues?  It might be a more specific error then a global poll error, maybe the text you used was causing a bug?

Yeah, I'm not seeing it on IE7 either.  Try IE8.

Confirmed, looks like 'compatibility view' fixes a lot of IE8 issues at the moment, I will track down the issue and file a bug.
