Using ressource kit for themes

Dear support,

in our SBS I've just downloaded the ressource kit to amend the theme in SBS. In the standard-kit I just replace 2 png. After uploading it, all icons fade away. After setting the theme back to standard all icons were back in place.

It seems that the ressource kit is from clearspace. Pls provide us with the SBS-kit.

Thankyou for your assistance!

Yours

Volker

Re: Using ressource kit for themes

Volker,

What version are you running into this issue?

Could you attach the theme that you created?

Thank you,

Re: Using ressource kit for themes

Volker,

I just tested this theme locally and it worked just fine.  Can you send me a screenshot of the issue you are seeing?  Is this happening in just some browsers?  Also - does a 'hard refresh' for your browser (mostly cntrl-r or f5) fix the issue?

Thank you,

Curtis

Re: Using ressource kit for themes

Volker,

Sounds like what you are looking for could be accomplished by using a transparent PNG in our built in theme functionality here:  http://www.jivesoftware.com/builds/docs/jive_sbs_employee/latest/admin/BasicSiteCustomization.html

Or, if you want to fix your current theme, you can follow these directions to modify the custom-css.ftl and hide the current jive logo: http://www.jivesoftware.com/jivespace/docs/DOC-3262

Probably need to add something like the following:

#jive-global-header .jive-header-logo {background-image:none;}

Re: Using ressource kit for themes

Volker,

You shouldn't need to start all the way over, here are screenshots of how to include my above code into your site.

Admin > System > Settings > themes

2009-08-27_1209.png

Create a new template into your current theme by selecting custom-css.ftl and creating it.

2009-08-27_1210.png

then go back and edit the custom-css.ftl

2009-08-27_1212.png

make your changes

2009-08-27_1211.png

Save, and you should be good to go (with the jive logo removed).

Re: Using ressource kit for themes

Volker,

Sorry about the delay, I must not have been testing against your theme directly.  I was able to move the image off the display with the following:

#jive-global-header img {top:-500px;}

Just place that in your custom-css.ftl to move the jive logo out of the picture.

Also, you should be getting emails from these posts as well - do you get any from these?  You can check your junk mail as well as your profile here on the site to make sure that you do not have your email preferences turned off.
