In fact, it is fairly straight-forward to embed slideshare presentations.

Here's how I embedded the above-

1.  Copied the embed code from slideshare

2. Clicked on the >> button within the text editor and then selected 'Insert Raw HTML' from the drop down menu

3.  Then just hit paste and pasted the embed code in and published.

Hope that helps.  I agree that it would be nice though if we just had it as part of a drop down menu similar to what's inside the video insert button.

As I see yours does as well.

I would recommend updating to the latest version of flash player - the above slideshare works fine for me.

Your issue might be different - to have slideshare work within your site, you will need to have the slideshare plugin installed - SlideShare Macro

There does not seem to be a definitive resolution to this question in this thread. I'm running the latest version of FF and I don't see the embedded slideshow, either.

It sounds like the answer is (a) yes, it *will* be embeddable but (b) there may be bugs at this point, since we out here aren't seeing it working.

(And I just upgraded to the latest Flash player and it made no difference.)
