This is one for Steve Vorhees:
As part of our 3.0 upgrade, we're updating our SSO to allow parents, through an account page on a K12 application, to opt their students in to a particular sub-community called theteenthink. The opt-in works fine, but if you then go back and opt the student out, the xml we pass to Jive seems correct, but the student is not removed from the permissions group for the sub-community. Attached is the xml from our webservice for each case.
Thanks guys.
Dianne
I will forward this to Steve.
Looking into this today.
It looks like the values are reversed for teenthink-opt-in or the files have the wrong names. The value is 0 in the opt-in file and 1 in opt-out. Is this a file name problem or could this be indicative to the underlying problem?
Steve,
I'm having Mark on our side check the file names and he will respond to this thread, but even if the names were reversed, one opts the user in and one results in no change once the user is opted in, so there would seem to be an issue with the sso code on the Jive side not "flipping back" once a user is opted in.
The files attached look good to me the optout.xml has <teenthink-opt-in>0</teenthink-opt-in> and the optin.xml has <teenthink-opt-in>1</teenthink-opt-in>
I've checked the files and do not understand Steves comment. Files are correct.
Testing due to problems with replying as reported by Steve.
Dianne and I spoke early and came to a resolution.
Previous behavior (prior to 3.0.5 upgrade) a change was made to SSO that caused SSO users to not be removed from groups when they should be according to the XML received at login.
I have reversed this change.

Hi Steve,
Can you please provide the link for the updated SSO?
Thanks,
Marilena
The link is showing as "Not authorized to view the specified document 8807#"
The document containing the updated SSO plugin was posted in the error.unauth.project space.
The link to that doc in this thread was what wasn't working.
