Problem with editing posts

The following has been duplicated by two users in my UAT environment:

  1. Find a post worthy of editing.
  2. Click Edit thread.
  3. Change both the Title and the Body text.
  4. Click Update.

Result: When I view the modified post, the title has changed - but the body text remains the same.

  • If I refresh the page, nothing changes.
  • If I log out and log in, nothing changes when I view the post.
  • If I click Edit thread again, I can see the modified body text!
  • Only if I click Update again do the changes take effect.

Re: Problem with editing posts

April, thanks for the excellent steps in replicating the issue, I was definitely able to reproduce the issue locally. The discussion/post body appears to be getting stored correctly in the database (hence it showing up fine when editing the post again), however the cache isn't getting updated until you edit it again (or clear the caches).

I've gone ahead and filed a major bug report: CS-17139, thanks for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Re: Problem with editing posts

April, the bug has definitely been fixed by one of our developers and will be resolved in 3.0.10.

Unless you have any other questions or concerns regarding this, we typically do indeed close out the support ticket. Thanks,
