Can not start Jive SBS Public 4.0 after Initial Setup

I downloaded software. Installation was smooth. Clicked on Vie wSite. Went thru a bunch of setup steps. The system prompted to restart the SBS. Clicked on Restart. Now it is stuck forever on Loading ...

 

Any idea?

Hello,

 

Would you send me a copy of your logs?  You can find those in jiveHome/logs.  What system are you running?  Are you using LDAP?

Hey Anil,

 

I installed a 4.0 eval copy on a local machine, and produced the same problem you're having.  I've found and gotten a message out to the developers on the project, and now I'm waiting to hear back from them.  I'll let you know where we should go from here when I do.

Hi Anil,

 

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the windows eval copy isn't going to work for 4.0.0.  We found the bug, and fixed it, but it won't be available until 4.0.1 comes out.

Kevin,

I am also in the same boat.  What are our options other than waiting for a 4.0.1 release?  Can we download v3?

Hey Bryant,

 

Yes, if you'd like, you can get the windows eval copy of SBS 3.0.9.  Go to your Account Purchases at jivesoftware.com, and you should see a link for older versions.  There, you should be able to select the windows eval exe.  Let me know if you have any questions about that.
