Was browsing on Oracle's site, and they have an interesting feature for bookmarking a page in the community with various bookmarking sites....
Below is a screenshot snippet...my question to everyone is how useful is this for your customers. I do not use all these servers...just recently started using del.icio.us, and I know they have a Firefox plugin....so these other services, do they have similar functionality? Is this something that a user will have to configure in their Jive profile to specify their usernames for the services they use?
In general, I think it's an interesting concept, but I cannot see the entire picture yet...so I thought I'd throw this out there for people to comment.
Any thoughts appreciated... =)
Social bookmarking comes up all the time, both internally at Jive and externally, it's definitely something we want to add to Clearspace. I've also got the external interface for bookmarking (ie: using those third party services that you show in the screen shot) as something scoped for 2.1.
Cheers,
AJ
Hi,
I know that this has been implemented as a plugin before, but I am not sure if any such plugins are publicly available. An easy solution for this is to simply include the AddThis snippet to your template(s).
Thanks,
Cory
