Re: NullPointerException when adding plugin

Hi,

Would you send me the plugin code, so that I can try to replicate the issue you're having?  Also, would you give me the steps you take to reproduce the issue?  Were you just installing the plugin in the Admin Console, and this came up right in the middle of the process?  Also, what version of clearspace/SBS are you running?

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: NullPointerException when adding plugin

Hello,

I was looking into this, and I think I'm getting some noise in the information that I'm getting.  Would you try this again, and afterwards send me your logs?

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: NullPointerException when adding plugin

Brig,

This jar doesn't really look packaged correctly. Almost looks like 3.0 plugin, launching on 4.0. I would take your source and deploy inside the plugin hierarchy that we built using the 4.0 commands.

I've experienced the same problem when I tried to deploy the Custom Authentication (http://www.jivesoftware.com/builds/docs/jive_sbs/4.0/index.jsp?topic=/com.jivesoftware.help.sbs.online_4.0.0/developer/ExampleAuthenticationandAuthorization.html)-plugin through the admin-console on a Jive SBS 4.0 instance.

Re: NullPointerException when adding plugin

Hey guys,

I've seen this problem come up a few other times as well.  It seems the problem comes from dealing with the xml from the old plugins.  Try these steps:

   1. Create a plugin directory using the following document: Maven: How To Create a New Maven Project
   2. Copy your JAVA source, spring.xml file and your plugin.xml into the directory structure that you have built using the above mvn command
   3. Redeploy the plugin

Let me know how that works for you, and if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Kevin
