Has anyone integrated FeedBurner with their ClearspaceX install?

Hi Everyone,

I'm setting up a new community site for the Open Management Consortium this weekend. One question that came up was if anyone integrated FeedBurner with their ClearspaceX install. Are there any tips for integrating FeedBurner?

Thanks in advance for any guidance,

whurley

Hey whurley!

I feel like I haven't talked to you in ages (or at least the last 20 minutes)

Yes, we have integrated Feedburner feeds into our Jive Talks blog.  Jive Talks has a separate theme. We removed the existing link rel rss feeds with the new feedburner feed below in view-blog.ftl.

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml"
 title="Jive Talks Blog Feed"
 href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/JiveTalks" />

We also added a sidebar box with the link to the RSS feed.

On the Feedburner side, we pointed the Feedburner feed to the internal Clearspace feed.

Re: Has anyone integrated FeedBurner with their ClearspaceX install?

hi whurley,

I think it would be cool if we offered this service OOTB, but I think it would make sense only per blog because there are so many feeds available throughout the system.  Anyway, if you go the route that Dawn mentioned, there are a number of places where we display a feed for a particular blog, I'd recommend updating the feed link in the following templates that match the following path / regex:

/template/blogs/view-blog*.ftl

Hope that helps,

AJ
