Mass Export

Anyone know of a plugin that could help with a mass export of documents out of Clearspace?

CS is being used by our IT dept to collaborate with each other on.  Well an issue came up that if (for example) the web servers were down that this group would be responsible for bringing them back up.  However if most of thier docs detailing how to do so are in Clearspace then they would be unaccessable.

They wanted to be able to target their group's space and save all documents locally incase of failure.  Can anyone think of a way to help do this?  A plugin was my first thought but any idea is welcome....

Re: Mass Export

Hi Kris,

Could you elaborate on what you mean by exporting documents out of Clearspace? Do you mean doing a mass export to PDF? A database export?

Re: Mass Export

Hi Kris,

I apologize, I misintrepted what you were asking at first. I thought you were talking about wiki documents that had been written by users in the system, not uploaded documents. This featuer doesn't currently exist however there is an open feature request for a "Space Export" feature in our JIRA database. However, it doesn't look like it has been planned for implementation any time soon.

If you wanted this feature it would probably be fairly simple to implement as a plugin. You would just need to do a few calls to the database and use the jivedocument* tables to find the documents for a space and then export them all. Thanks.
