Do email templates used to send notifications support html?

We have a need to brand the email notifications that go to the user, especially during the registration process but also for other regular email notifications.

Haven't been able to find any support for this.  Could you let us know if it is supported and if so how to enable it.

In the event it is still not supported, could you suggest a low-energy customization approach which will allow all emails notifications to use the same html styled template.

fyi -- Here is a previous (dated) post that I came across on the same topic.

Thanks much.

Hey Sunil,

Currently (as of 2.5) we do not support HTML email notifications. However, this is something that we are aware of and looking into for future versions of Clearspace. Thanks!

Hi Sunil,

I think that this is possible but it would require a core code customization. I don't think this could be done as a plugin and it's not something that we would support. The EmailMessage object already has support for an HTML body, it's just not been implemented as part of the code to use this over the plaintext body. Thanks.
