Animated gif's

I was playing around with trying to add a gif as my profile picture and as my avatar.  When I went to view them after I uploaded them they did not animate.  Is this intended?  Also would an animated gif work if we used it when skinning?

Hi Justin,

 

Since avatars are a highly used graphic in the system, we actually convert them to a static png to make sure they are available quickly to the app; therefore, we do not support animated gifs for avatars or profile photos.

This should work fine, as you are basically entering html to skin the site. Let me know if you run into any issues doing this

This is something that has been thought about before, but is not something that is on our current roadmap. This would need to be a customization to support at this point

To better serve our customers we have included functionality to automatically follow up on a case after it has been idle for more than 5 days, and then auto close after an additional 3 days of inactivity. Choose No to acknowledge that this case will remain idle for longer than 5 days.
Making cases public allows other customers to learn from the solution of the case. It can also be used to gain feedback from others in the community. Ask our Support Engineers for more info, but we encourage you to make your cases public.
