Rich Editor - Hotkeys

Hi,

 

  RTE seem to support hotkeys, for example select a piece of text, ctrl+b will bold it,

  ctrl+i will italicize it etc.  Is there a list of complete list of these hotkeys and their

  corresponding actions somewhere, if so, please point us to it.  If not, one such

  document can be provided ?

Hey Senthil,

 

I don't believe that there is currently any documentation for this. I have searched through the source code and here are all of the available shortcuts that I was able to find:

 

Shortcut
Action
Ctrl+KOpen up Link Picker
Ctrl+ZUndo
Ctrl+YRedo
Ctrl+BBold
Ctrl+UUnderline
Ctrl+IItalic
Ctrl+7

Surround selected text in <p> tag

Ctrl+8Surround selected text in a <div> tag
Ctrl+9Surround selected text in an <address> tag
Ctrl+SSave

Hi Todd

 

Thank you for the details. The Ctrl-S is saving AND publishing the document. Our users, based on Microsoft experience, expect however "Save and continue".

 

Would you consider this featue request?

Todd, I saw this issue is not assigned to any release yet. Is there a plan to fix this soon? Thanks a lot!

Hi Andreas,

 

Since this is a feature request it would have to end up going in to one of our major releases (4.0, 4.5, 5.0, etc). At this point 4.0 has nearly been completed so this feature is currently being evaluated for our next major release after 4.0. Thanks!
