Hi,

Is it possible use a space name as an ID to display the latest poll on that page to an external page using webservices?

Thanks

Re: display polls using web services

Hi,

This is possible with the REST web services.  It will require 2 steps.  First you need to perform getRecursiveCommunities.  Find the space name you are looking for in the results of this request.  You can then use the corresponding ID and objectType to perform getPollsByObjectTypeAndObjectID.

Thanks,

Cory

Make sure you cache the results of your getRecursiveCommunities call, it is not unheard off to have response times of 200 seconds or more.
