What is the difference between SBS Employee and Public versions?

Other than the obvious, you install Jive on the intra or internet.  What features are different between the two?  I know the Public allows the creation of guest accounts, anything else?  Do any of the modules only work with one vs. the other?

Thanks,

Len

Re: What is the difference between SBS Employee and Public versions?

Hi Len,

There is really no functional difference between the two; they differ only in initial configuration options: How profile fields are defined, default permissions, etc.

I've attached a more detailed list of the differences. Let me know if you would like any more information.

Thanks!

Matt

Hi Len,

Yes, all modules should work the same between the Employee and Public versions.

Thanks!

Matt

Matt,

Thanks for the detailed information.

Though I have a question -

Is the Jive SBS Employee Marketplace and Jive SBS Public Marketplace is re-branding of Clearspace and Clearspace Community respectively with some enhanced features?

Thanks,

Mayank

Hi Mayank,

Yes, that's correct. Clearspace became SBS as of version 3.0.

Thanks!
Matt
