Enterprise Software Leaders Rally CIOs To Embrace User-Centric IT

SAN FRANCISCO, June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Leading enterprise software companies together with Geoffrey Moore, author of Crossing the Chasm, today launched an initiative to promote the transition to user-focused technology, putting end-user experience at the center of IT planning and architecture. The User-Centric IT initiative is a collaborative undertaking between Geoffrey Moore and Box, GoodData, Jive, Marketo, Okta, Skyhigh Networks and Zendesk, and was unveiled today to CIOs and other IT leaders at an event in San Francisco.

At its core, the User-Centric IT initiative is designed to guide IT leaders in moving to a framework that puts the needs of their employees first, empowering them to be more productive, agile and effective.

  • enable people, information and knowledge to connect in real time;
  • view mobility as a work-style preference, not a device; and
  • make security inherent and transparent to the user experience
