How we drive community engagement with an executive interview video series

Increase the presence of your executive team on your internal community.
Are you looking to have your executive team increase their presence on your internal communities? If so, you are joining a growing trend, where executives are finding new and innovative ways to connect with employees. According to the 2015 State of The Community Survey from Community Roundtable, 57% of best-in-class internal corporate communities benefit from regular executive participation, whereas just 39% of average communities have consistent executive participation. One of the key components of an effective community editorial calendar, which is managed by the enterprise community manager, is to create more opportunities to connect executives with employees.
At Jive, the executive engagement is high within our internal community, Brewspace, where almost all of the company’s C-level and senior-level management blog and interact with employees on a regular basis. In addition, we recently began implementing a simple and well-received program called “Jive in 5,” in which the enterprise community manager asks executives 5 questions on camera, while keeping the tone casual and conversational. The community manager then shares the video interviews on the Brewspace channel as a monthly community highlight. The community reaction thus far has been overwhelmingly positive.
