A Giant Leap for Enterprise Collaboration: NASA Propels Jive Toward FedRAMP Certification

When the folks responsible for sending rockets into space, landing rovers on Mars and putting people on the moon believe in you, it makes you feel like you can do anything. Last week, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) helped Jive Software go where no other end-to-end enterprise collaboration solution has gone before. With NASA’s sponsorship, we have officially attained “in process” status for the U.S. government’s Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP. FedRAMP is the government-wide program responsible for providing assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.

The stringent FedRAMP certification requirements ensure that the millions of users who already depend on Jive to keep their mission-critical information safe every day will be even more secure. “Reaching this milestone is an exciting development for Jive, as well as for our customers in government agencies and several other regulated industries,” says David Cook, chief security officer at Jive. Because of NASA’s confidence in Jive, we’re well on our way to reaching FedRAMP certification later this year, allowing us to introduce our world-class Interactive Intranet and Customer Community solutions to some of the world’s most highly-regulated organizations and industries.

This is not only a big step for Jive, but a giant leap forward in enterprise collaboration. To our friends at NASA, thanks for the boost!
