Jive Announces New Interactive Intranet and Healthcare Community Implementations:
Jive Interactive Intranet Connects and Engages Employees at Virgin Media
Virgin Media, a leading provider of ultrafast broadband for consumers and business in the United Kingdom and Ireland, has selected Jive’s interactive intranet solution to drive engagement amongst its employees. The company’s newly launched internal community builds on the success of its existing Jive-x partner community, giving partners, suppliers and now employees a mobile-optimized digital Workhub they can use to connect, communicate and collaborate with Virgin Media.
Virgin Media turned to Jive for a Workhub that would bring all of its employees’ daily workflows together in order to reduce their reliance on travel and email, and facilitate knowledge sharing within and across teams. The new Virgin Media intranet will increase efficiency by providing a central place for employees to exchange information, find expertise across the business, stay up-to-date on company news, and collaborate on strategic projects.

OCNE Chooses Jive to Launch First Statewide Nursing Community to Support and Accelerate Education
The Oregon Consortium of Nursing Education (OCNE) selected the Jive for Healthcare Collaboration solution to improve nursing education across university and college campuses, and help address the staggering nursing shortage the U.S. is facing. Built on the cloud-based Jive-n interactive intranet, this solution improves the accessibility of nursing curriculum, best practices, specialized knowledge and peer-to-peer feedback amongst nursing educators, professionals and students. Oregon was the first state to implement a statewide, multi-campus consortium approach for nursing education, and OCNE’s collaborative online community is the first of its kind.
With the average age of nursing faculty currently over 57, and with 50 percent considering retirement in the next five to 10 years, the national healthcare system anticipates an impending nursing crisis. The imminent nursing faculty shortage may prohibit programs from sustaining current enrollments, let alone increase the number of students in the pipeline that need to be trained. New innovative means are required to prepare nursing faculty who can enhance and accelerate education for new nurses. OCNE is addressing this crisis in Oregon by connecting 10 community colleges and universities to develop and share curriculum. OCNE worked with Jive and iTalent Corporation, a global technology consulting services and systems integration company, to deploy its connected nursing community.
