International Committee of the Red Cross Adopts Jive Software to Drive Connections and Collaboration Worldwide

At Aurea Experience 18 in Munich, ICRC’s collaboration project manager, Ernesto Izquierdo, shared the organization’s experiences and best practices surrounding employee engagement.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) rolled out this Jive-powered enterprise community to deepen collaboration and connections in support of its mission to help victims of armed conflict and violence.

Based in Geneva, the ICRC is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world – the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. With over 18,000 employees, the ICRC operates in more than 80 countries worldwide. The organization recently added Jive’s collaboration solution to its digital workplace ecosystem in order to better connect both internal and external stakeholders across regions, hierarchies and programs – such as initiatives to help missing people, address urban violence and promote international humanitarian law. By transforming the way its employees exchange and capture organizational knowledge, the ICRC is minimizing inefficient email threads, fostering collaboration and making people more productive.

Based on this initial success, the organization is taking an organic approach to continued adoption across its complex structure.
