Jive Microblogging
Promote instant engagement and community adoption with a familiar and easy to use microblogging interface. This new enterprise-rich feature not only meets your data security and privacy needs, but also enables you to seamlessly retain control of your IP. Now every update can have greater context and can be easily connected to the bigger picture in your organization.
Jive Enterprise Instant Messaging (IM)
Now you can integrate with existing enterprise IM services such as OCS, Sametime or Openfire. Jive SBS shows your colleagues chat presence and makes it as simple as clicking "chat now" to open up your chat client to start chatting.
OpenSocial
By embracing OpenSocial, Jive opens the door to new types of interoperability between enterprise and consumer systems. OpenSocial gives developers the tools to create apps that access a social network's data from anywhere on the web. This feature also incorporates Jive Widget Studio, a free plugin that takes widgets to a whole new level, allowing you to bring customized widgets into your environment to create a richer, more personalized Jive experience.
Jive Widget Studio
As a first step towards the Jive Apps Market, Jive is announcing the Jive Widget Studio. The Jive Widget Studio will allow employees to personalize their Jive experience by making and adding popular OpenSocial widgets such as customizable weather widgets, currency converters, RSS feeds, YouTube videos, Facebook pages, Twitter feeds, and Flickr streams. The Jive Widget Studio is available as a free plug-in in Jive 4.5.

New caching helps improve performance and fault tolerance.
Discussions
Mark answers as "correct" and move them to the top of a discussion and "like" individual replies.
Rich Text Editor
MailTo links are now supported; new business-oriented icons help call attention to items and express status in content.
Tagging
Improvements include easier search, find, and navigation on tags; you can also tag content without having to edit it or generate a new version.
